Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with residents, families and an interdisciplinary team.

This PRN role requires 3 months minimum LTC experience, travel within a 75-mile radius, and may serve as charge nurse. A state RN license is required and a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
