Job summary

MercyOne Centerville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered care on an evening/night rotating schedule. The nurse will perform assessments and coordinate care in a rural hospital setting.

Responsibilities include following physician orders, leading care activities, ensuring infection control, and communicating changes to the health care team. Iowa RN license and BLS certification are required, with mandatory reporter training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in State of Iowa.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Execute physician orders within nursing practice guidelines.
• Supervise activities requiring nursing knowledge; seek assistance when needed.
• Provide leadership and direction in supervising others in the nursing process.
• Communicate changes in resident’s condition to the health care team.
• Maintain universal infection control precautions.
