Job summary

MercyOne Centerville Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Medical/Surgical unit. Join a rural community hospital delivering patient care under RN supervision and supporting diverse age groups, including pediatric through geriatric.

The role features rotating 12-hour shifts, weekend and holiday work, and opportunities for growth within MercyOne Health System. Eligible candidates must have a Certified Nurse Aide certificate; BLS and Iowa Mandatory Reporter training

Qualifications

• Performs patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Cares for patients across age groups from infant to geriatric when needed.
• Maintains safety and uses equipment properly.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care to assigned patients under supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Transports patients and assists with feeding and comfort.
• Maintains unit cleanliness and stock levels; supports other staff as needed.
