Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, IA is seeking an RN for the Leadership role of Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing and guide the nursing team toward excellence.

You will oversee care delivery, mentor staff, ensure compliance with federal and state LTC regulations, participate in on-call rotations, and promote compassionate, high-quality resident care every day.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa or ability to activate in Iowa.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Desire to learn and grow as part of a quality-focused clinical team.
• Strong commitment to empathy, respect, and discretion in care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department.
• Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery and progress, proposing solutions.
• Enforce policies and guide the team for growth.
• Support and coach RNs to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Manage administrative functions to improve department efficiency.
• Communicate care needs with residents and families.
• Document care to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
