Chariton Specialty Care, part of Care Initiatives, is hiring for an RN Leadership Role as Assistant Director of Nursing in Chariton, IA. You will support the DON, lead nursing operations, and foster a compliant, compassionate care environment across a multi-site organization.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing; license active in IA or able to activate.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Desire to learn and grow as part of a quality-focused clinical team.
• Strong commitment to helping others with empathy, respect, patience and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department for advancement opportunities.
• Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery; address concerns and help implement solutions.
• Enforce policies and guide the team for personal and group growth.
• Support and coach RNs to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Manage administrative functions to improve department efficiency and growth.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families about care needs.
• Document care to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
• Participate in on-call rotation with leadership team.
