Job summary

Care Initiatives is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) for our Cedar Falls, IA skilled nursing community. In this leadership role you will assist the DON in planning, directing the nursing department and supporting advancement within the organization.

You will conduct rounds, address care delivery concerns, coach RNs, enforce policies, manage administrative functions, and communicate with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa in good standing.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department.
• Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery and address concerns; propose solutions.
• Enforce policies and guide the team; foster growth.
• Support and coach RNs to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Manage administrative functions to improve department efficiency.
• Communicate with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with the leadership team.
