Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a nursing leader to act as a supervisor within our patient care teams. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care using the nursing process, mentoring licensed and ancillary staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet department goals.

Required is an RN license in the state of practice; a BSN is preferred. Strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential in this on-site position at our Bay St.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and RN licensed in state of practice.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Current BLS, CPI, ACLS and PALS certifications within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for diverse patients and groups.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources within the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilizes data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and Standards of Conduct.
