Qualifications

• BSN required or pursuing with completion within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including at least 3 years in nursing leadership.
• Current Iowa RN license; Illinois license if practicing in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support clinical practice standards within the department.
• Ensure safe, high-quality delivery of clinical services.
• Maintain strong visibility with staff, providers, patients, and families.
• Provide accessible leadership—guidance, problem solving, and support for the care team.
• Stay current with emerging clinical trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Monitor staffing levels to balance exceptional care with financial responsibility.
• Ensure clinical operations reflect current coding, billing, and reimbursement expectations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a CQI plan.
• Respond promptly to patient concerns, incident reports, and safety events.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and licensing requirements.
• Promote a culture of patient safety and accountability.
• Champion Mission, Vision, and Values across the organization.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, volunteers, and leaders across the organization.
• Communicate effectively with the team and leadership.
• Support organizational change with clear communication.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop staff.
