Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, seeks a Registered Nurse for Emergency Department Overflow to support patient care and the department’s flow. This role offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package through HCA Healthcare.

Qualified candidates will have a BSN or be enrolled with a BSN to obtain within 5 years of hire; RN licensure in North Carolina is required, with eNLC possible depending on license status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or enrolled with BSN to obtain within 5 years of hire.
• Master of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina; eNLC license may apply.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each scheduled shift, noting changes and reporting as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide timely, compassionate care; respond to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects and follow-up steps.
