Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to become the Assistant Director of Nursing. This leadership role will provide clinical oversight and support to the Director of Nursing, guiding staff and ensuring high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse (RN) with leadership ability.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record software (Matrix a plus).

Responsibilities

• Support regulatory compliance by monitoring Medicare/Medicaid requirements and reporting issues.
• Ensure staff orientation and ongoing in-service training.
• Maintain clear communication with residents and families about care.
• Oversee nursing procedures, provide feedback, and assist with annual performance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to professional standards and regulations.
• Support infection control and antibiotic stewardship initiatives.
• Coordinate discharge planning and care plans with providers and staff.
• Cover RN shifts through 24/7 on-call weekends as needed.
