Job summary

Pinnacle Care of Battle Creek is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care for residents, under supervision of the Unit Manager and Director of Nursing. You will assess, implement, and evaluate care plans and supervise nursing assistants to ensure safety and quality care.

The role emphasizes adherence to state nursing practice acts, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with physicians, families, and other staff to maintain the highest practicable level of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Makes frequent rounds to monitor resident conditions and ensure nursing personnel perform duties per standards.
• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with standards.
• Provides and receives nursing reports during shift changes.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas, patient rooms, and treatment areas.
• Monitors nursing supplies and orders as needed.
• Attends staff meetings as scheduled by DON/Unit Manager.
• Directs and supervises CNAs to ensure care is rendered per regulations.
• Provides resident assessments/observations and interventions.
• Reviews care plans daily to ensure appropriate care.
• Communicates with physicians regarding resident changes and reports.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by physician.
• Documents all nursing notes and required data for compliance.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges residents to meet needs.
• Ensures compliance with infection control standards.
