Job summary

Laurels of Blanchester in Blanchester, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, oversee, and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, and will be a key resource for residents, families, and teammates.

Qualifications

• RN license required in state
• CPR certification required or within 90 days of employment
• 1-2 years nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs, and other direct-care staff
• Plans and directs work to match resident needs and staff capability
• Prepares and adjusts work assignments for staffing and safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements
• Conducts performance evaluations and participates in hiring decisions
• Manages break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversees unit operations in the absence of higher-level management
• Uses independent judgment per policies and laws
