Job summary

Bethesda Group in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to assist participants with medication management under supervision of the Medication Room Manager. You will assess, document, follow provider orders, and maintain the participant's medication profile and electronic health records.

You will work with the interdisciplinary team to promote independence, safety, and optimal medication use, while educating participants and coordinating deliveries.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program and licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Reliable transportation with current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assess and educate participants for the best option for medication management.
• Obtain Provider order for medication management with diagnosis.
• Write and maintain care plan for medication management.
• Safely and accurately fill medication planner with Provider written order through medication profile and current medication list.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record and route to Provider for co-signature.
• Communicate with participants about medications including changes and education.
• Verify medications against CareKinesis profile and current medications list.
• Notify appropriate professional of discrepancies for clarification.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of medications and education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support participant independence.
