Job summary

Bayside of Poquoson Health and Rehab Center in Poquoson, VA is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to lead and oversee daily nursing operations for residents in the long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, effective leadership, and the ability to coordinate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure high quality resident care and compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of nursing practices and regulations governing long-term care.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Leadership ability and willingness to supervise staff.
• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret Nursing department programs.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Deliver basic nursing care to residents and assess needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and CNAs.
• Chart accurately and timely.
• Monitor and report residents' symptoms and changes.
• Coordinate with health care team to plan and implement care plans.
