Job summary

Adventist Health Twin Cities in Templeton, CA, seeks an RN Lead for Labor and Delivery and Postpartum, to supervise the unit during night shifts. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with nursing leadership, physicians, and staff to ensure outcomes and safety.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, RN licensure in California, and supervisory experience. BLS/ACLS/NRP and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications are required or preferred as per AH policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' technical experience: Preferred
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required

Responsibilities

• Provides unit-based leadership in the development and provision of clinical services. Supervises and directs unit personnel.
• Fosters an environment of patient and family centered care with special attention to cultural diversity and personal needs.
• Ensures compliance with Patient Safety Goals and participates in Performance Improvement Teams.
• Manages staffing based on patient acuity and needs; assigns staff to patients and monitors workload.
• Maintains department equipment and safety; keeps Director informed of unit activities and budget considerations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
