Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead nursing care during assigned shifts, assess and plan resident care, and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other team members to ensure safety and quality. The RN will coordinate care plans and serve as a resource for residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan.
• CPR certification current or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management; use independent judgment.

Education

Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment
