Merit Health in Mississippi is seeking a Lactation Consultant RN to provide expert breastfeeding support. You will assess, plan, implement individualized lactation care, and collaborate with families and the care team to promote optimal feeding outcomes.

This role requires RN licensure and IBCLC certification, with BCLS/NRP/NALS credentials preferred, and 0–2 years experience in maternal-child health. You will attend deliveries and cesarean sections as needed and document care per policy.

Formación

• RN license active in the United States with current status.
• IBCLC certification required for lactation consultation.
• BCLS/NRP/NALS certifications required or preferred as stated.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialized lactation care to breastfeeding dyads and pumping parents.
• Assess needs and develop individualized lactation care plans.
• Teach positioning, latch, breast care, and troubleshooting.
• Support parents of premature or medically complex infants.
• Educate families on feeding cues and pump use.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and discharge planning.
• Document care and maintain records per policy.
• Attend deliveries or cesarean sections to initiate lactation support.
