Job summary

UPMC Altoona is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Birth Center night shift. The role offers 0.9 full-time hours, 7pm to 7am with rotation and on-call, in a 22-bed multidisciplinary unit focusing on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation.

Qualifications

• Experienced RN or recent graduate ready to take the next step.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using nursing protocols and administer medications and IV therapy.
• Assess and reassess patient and family needs; document and update care plans.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team and community agencies to plan care.
• Education of patients and families; lead and mentor other staff.
