Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery RN for full-time night shifts. The 7-bed unit offers integrated OR and PACU, handling 30-40 deliveries monthly across triage, labor, surgical delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and gynecologic care.

Role emphasizes prioritization, professionalism, and collaboration to provide safe, patient-centered care. Staffing ratios align with patient acuity and volume, ensuring high standards and adaptable coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.
• New Graduates of a nursing program eligible.
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability within organizational policies and procedures.

Labor and Delivery Specialty Diff Given

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

Graduate of a nursing program

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

New Graduates of a nursing program eligible

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW

Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
