Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Staff Nurse for its Labor & Delivery unit. The 7-bed unit with an integrated OR and PACU supports 30–40 deliveries per month, covering triage, labor, surgical delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and gynecologic care.

The staff nurse delivers nursing care across the birth lifecycle, adheres to department policies, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia required.
• BCLS certification required.
• BSN preferred or equivalent.
• New graduates eligible for PRN positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes.
• Coordinate patient care activities with all assigned staff for quality nursing care.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability within organizational policies.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
