Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate and provide nursing care across the patient lifecycle. You will respond to census needs, ensure quality care, and communicate across teams to resolve issues.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure, BCLS and ACLS, with NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring proficiency expected within the orientation period. Labor and delivery experience is valued.

Qualifications

• RN licensure for Georgia (state licensure and/or multistate licensure).
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, L&D services).
• NRP within orientation period (Women’s Services: L&D, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care from birth through the lifecycle, and addresses shift-based operational issues.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Preferred
• Previous Labor and Delivery Experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
• ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) Required
• NRP by the end of orientation period (Women's Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) Required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year Required
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
