Job summary

Northwell Health’s Sharon Hospital in Connecticut seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Labor and Delivery team. You will provide direct patient care, conduct assessments, and communicate changes in patient status to the physicians.

The role requires RN licensure in CT, BLS, and within six months, NRP and ACLS; L&D experience is preferred. The position offers 36 hours per week, with a 6:45pm–7:15am shift and every-other-weekend on-call rotation, at Sharon Hospital 50 Hospital Hill Road.

Qualifications

• CT Registered Nurse Licensure required; minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• One year of RN Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire.
• Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting.
• Performs assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Communicates with physicians about changes in patient condition and fetal monitoring results.
• Responds quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
