Job summary

Northwell Health’s Danbury Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Delivery Room. This full-time role supports 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shifts, with holiday and weekend requirements, providing high-quality patient care in a 456-bed acute care setting.

Required CT RN license with BLS; ACLS/NRP certifications expected or obtainable within defined timelines. Associate’s degree and strong teamwork skills are essential for success on our care teams.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in CT (or eligible)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS/NRP certifications required or to be obtained within specified timelines

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner across physiologic, psychological, and cognitive domains.
• Formulates a goal-directed plan of care based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a skilled, consistent, and continuous manner.
• Establishes care priorities based on patient needs and available resources.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and adjusts care as needed.
• Identifies learning needs of patients and families and implements education accordingly.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary functions to ensure seamless patient care.
• Fulfills compliance responsibilities related to the position and performs other duties as assigned.
