Job summary

Northwell Health’s Sharon Hospital is seeking an RN for Labor and Delivery. The role provides direct patient care in a high-acuity maternity setting at Sharon Hospital in Connecticut.

The ideal candidate holds CT RN licensure with at least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in Labor and Delivery. BLS, NRP, ACLS within six months, and STABLE/NBLP training may be required.

Qualifications

• CT RN licensure required; minimum 1 year nursing experience.
• RN Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• BLS, NRP, ACLS within six months of hire.
• STABLE Neonatal program within six months.
• C-EFM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery.
• Assess and plan individualized patient care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties with supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.

Required

• CTRegistered Nurse Licensure. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. One year of RN Labor and Delivery experience (preferred). BLS certification required. Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire. Successful completion of STABLE Neonatal Program within six months of hire. Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred

Hours : 36 hours

Work Shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm, every other weekend, on call rotation

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities.
