Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II for Labor & Delivery. You will provide expert nursing care using the nursing process, lead with charge responsibilities, and participate in quality and safety initiatives while maintaining effective communication with patients and team members.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, and unit-specific competencies, with BSN preferred. Join a team focused on exceptional patient care and professional development in a large regional health system.

Qualifications

• Must meet RN I requirements and provide care using the nursing process.
• RN licensure in the applicable state(s) per regulatory requirements.
• BLS certification required (AHA Healthcare Provider).
• ACLS/EKG and Pharmacology coursework within 6 months for Labor and Delivery.
• BSN preferred; progression towards BSN encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation.
• Coordinate patient teaching, safety initiatives and quality improvements; maintain professional communication.
• Lead as Charge Nurse and participate in department initiatives and committee activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork and leadership to ensure high-quality patient care in Labor & Delivery.
