RN, Labor and Delivery Pool Tier III, 7p-7:30a

Tier III Requirements: 144-hour minimum commitment per 6-week schedule, 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, 1 Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), 1 Spring/Summer Holiday (Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)

• Experience required.
• Assess learning needs, readiness to learn, and identify potential barriers to learning, incorporating patient education into daily activities based on age, cultural, and spiritual values.
• Document admission assessments, reassessments, plans, interventions, medication use, and monitor effects and outcomes according to policy.
• Use the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patient condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations.
• Communicate transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during interprofessional rounds.
• Recognize and address patient special needs, individualize care, and be knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral.
• Include pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care and promote a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
• Take accountability for managing patient care delivery, act as a patient advocate, and uphold patient rights.
• Respond effectively in emergency situations to address patients' immediate needs.
• Consult and refer to other healthcare professionals, including addressing ethical concerns to appropriate resources.
