Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN to provide direct patient care in our obstetric setting. You will assess, plan and deliver individualized care within a team that values support and patient advocacy.

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of acute care experience, current California RN license, and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, AFM). This role is supported by a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current California Registered Nurse License.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience, Labor & Delivery preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP and AFM certifications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
• Perform nursing duties in Maternal Child Health departments with supervision.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Advocate for patients as circumstances require.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a highly skilled, compassionate Labor and Delivery registered nurse to deliver exceptional direct patient care in our Labor and Delivery setting. In this role, you will provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care. • You will perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision


• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts


• You will participate in performance improvement activities


• You will act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing


• Current California Registered Nurse License


• A minimum of 1-2 years of acute care experience, prefer previous experience in Labor & Delivery


• Current BLS required


• Current ACLS required


• Current NRP required


• Current AFM required (Advanced Fetal Monitoring)
