Qualifications

• Labor and Delivery: RN with 1 year L&D experience.
• Acute care experience considered on an individual basis.
• Postpartum: RN with 6 months to 1 year experience.
• New grads considered on an individual basis.
• L&D: 1 year L&D experience or more with intermediate fetal monitoring on hire.
• Less than 1 year or no L&D: basic fetal monitoring during orientation.
• RN: CA license upon hire.
• BLS/CPR on hire.
• ACLS within 90 days.
• NRP within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Performs history and physical assessment upon admission and ongoing.
• Planning: Develops individualized plan of care with patient/family.
• Implementation: Documents responses and revises the care plan as needed.
• Evaluation: Evaluates patient and family response and updates goals.
• Utilizes nursing process to meet education and discharge needs.
• Identifies changes in condition and intervenes appropriately.

• Assessment: Performs appropriate history and physical assessment upon admission and on an ongoing basis, per facility policy.
• Planning: In conjunction with the patient and family, develops individualized patient plan of care based on nursing diagnosis. Identifies short and long term goals including discharge planning consistent with individualized patient care.
• Implementation: Evaluates and documents the patient/family response to nursing interventions related to the stated goals and the overall effectiveness of the care plan. Revises plan of care based on evaluation and individualized patient care needs.
• Evaluation: Evaluates and documents the patient and family response to nursing interventions related to the stated goals and the overall effectiveness of the care plan. Revises plan of care based on evaluation and individualized patient care needs.

Job Requirements

Required

• Labor and Delivery: Registered Nurse with (1) year of Labor and Delivery experience and
• Registered Nurses with (1) year of acute care work experience will be considered on an individual basis. and
• Postpartum: Registered Nurse Graduate with 6 months to one (1) year of work experience. and
• New graduates without acute care experience will be considered on an individual basis and
• Labor and Delivery: (1) year L&D experience or more, intermediate fetal monitoring upon hire. and
• With less than (1) year or no L&D experience, basic fetal monitoring within the orientation process
• Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days and
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 Days

Pay Range

$51.57 - $76.96 /hour
