Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in California. The role focuses on labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care with strong team collaboration. Expect day shifts (07:00–19:00), 3x12 hour shifts, and a focus on couplet care.

Required CA RN license, ACLS/BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certification; EPIC experience preferred. Contract and local rates may vary by location and residency; benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience; 4 years preferred.
• Active California RN license.
• ACLS and BLS required; NRP required; AWHONN Advanced certification required.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform assessments and interventions.

• Ensure safety and comfort of mother and newborn during recovery and discharge.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to childbearing women and their well newborns. This includes labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care with an emphasis on couplet care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work cohesively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and IV therapy as required.
• Provide support and education to mothers regarding labor and postpartum care.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform necessary assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and other vital signs, responding to abnormal readings.
• Ensure safety and comfort of both mother and newborn during recovery and discharge.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required; 4 years preferred.
• Active California RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Advanced certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
