Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery in Georgia for a 12-week assignment. Night shifts with 12-hour hours, caring for laboring patients and newborns. Role includes lactation support, discharge teaching, IV management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

The unit handles postpartum and neonatal care with patient ratios around 2:1 and non-call policy on holidays. Prior charges and Epic experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Labor and Delivery.
• Active RN license in Georgia or Compact license.
• ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
• Charge experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.

Description:The unit provides care for laboring patients from 35 weeks.The nurse will be responsible for postpartum and newborn care.Every third weekend shift is required unless specified otherwise.Floating may occur within facility and scope of practice as needed.No call obligations are required for this position.

Patient ratios are 2:1 for both day and night shifts.The daily census averages six patients with a total of seven beds available.The nursing staff offers interdisciplinary support including therapy, respiratory services, and social services.Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults.

The nurse will perform a variety of skills including:

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Provide breastfeeding and lactation support
• Conduct discharge teaching for parents
• Care for both mother and newborn post-delivery
• Start and maintain IVs

Compliance with all onboarding requirements is mandatory to ensure timely start in the position.The nurse is expected to work major holidays as detailed in the guidelines.All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission.
