Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center Frisco at PGA Parkway is seeking an Interventional Radiology RN to deliver patient‑centered care in our new facility in Frisco, Texas. The role requires nursing expertise, IR experience, and a commitment to safety and education for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include formulating care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, and ensuring high quality outcomes while navigating a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Program or 2+ years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • The applicant's major field of study should be Nursing.
  • Candidates must be Registered Nurses (RN).
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing patient and family needs; develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
  • Create a safe environment for patients, families, staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and voice patient concerns when necessary.
  • Support learning for patients, families and nursing staff; promote knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with team members and community to implement cohesive care plans.

Join us in an extraordinary opportunity to be at the forefront of our new hospital in Frisco, Texas.

Our new facility, spanning 340,000 square feet, will introduce a state-of-the‑art facility, tailored to accommodate the evolving needs of our rapidly growing population. Among its highlights, the facility will house crucial departments such as emergency, inpatient, procedural, and women and children.

Shift

PRN Days, three shifts per month including 1 major and 1 minor holiday; M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call is not required but allowed if wanting extra hours.

Job Summary

As an Interventional Radiology RN, use nursing expertise to deliver patient care with the healthcare team. Tasks include evaluating health, identifying issues, creating care plans, and tracking treatment responses. Help patients navigate their healthcare safely. Use knowledge of needs to prevent issues.

  • The candidate must recognize limited resources and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care.

  • A basic understanding of the patient care practices, medical terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional radiology nursing.

  • The ability to track changes in patients' health and communicate clearly with nurses and doctors.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly knowledge of electronic medical documentation systems and email.
