Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology in Elmhurst, IL. This PRN role involves providing comprehensive nursing care for IR patients, administering IV conscious sedation under physician guidance, and monitoring patient status during procedures.

You will collaborate with radiologists and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures, start IVs and manage central lines, educate patients and families, and document care in Epic while supporting quality

Qualifications

• IL RN license required.
• BSN within 5 years of hire if not yet obtained.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• Critical Care/Emergency Dept and conscious sedation experience preferred.
• Telemetry monitoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Start IVs and manage central lines; perform dressing changes.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and care teams for safe, efficient procedures.
• Coordinate daily procedure scheduling and patient flow in IR lab.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse, Interventional Radiology - PRN
• Location: Elmhurst
• PRN

What you will need:

• IL RN license
• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred, must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
• CPR: BLS & ACLS required (Issued by American Heart Association)
• Critical Care/Emergency Department and conscious sedation experience highly preferred.
• Medical Surgical with telemetry monitoring experience preferred

What you will do:

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies, including contrast reactions
• Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow within the IR lab
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery and follow-up care
• Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic
• Support quality and safety initiatives, including inventory and equipment readiness
• Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training of team members
