Job summary

The position is based in Glen Oaks, NY on a per diem/contract schedule, with a pay range of $52–$90 per hour. ADN is required, BSN preferred; NY RN license and BLS certification required, with additional certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in interventional radiology or related specialty.
• Current NY RN license and BLS certification required, with additional certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess various health domains (GI, CV, respiratory, renal, neuro).
• Assess mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess pain level and pain management; document plan of care.

What You'll Do

• Assess the patient's physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient's physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Identify actual/potential patient problems.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities to achieve expected outcomes.

Requirements

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.

Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required. BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
