Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus invites a dedicated RN to join a team delivering patient-centered care with emphasis on education, coordination, and excellence. You will interact with patients, families and visitors, supporting care plans and educational needs across units.

The role offers a 4-10s schedule (7:00am–5:30pm), rotating weekends and on-call every 10th weekend, with access to professional development resources and ongoing education through the Cleveland Clinic system.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN
  • OR Licensed RN with at least 2 years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department may substitute for required RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.
  • Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
  • Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
  • Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
  • Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
  • Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
  • Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.
  • Educate patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles in the department.

As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN
  • OR Licensed RN with at least 2 years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department may substitute for required RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Two years of recent experience as an RN
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Recent ICU experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
