Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL seeks a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift role. This position requires managing patient care, coordinating with the care team, and delivering education to patients and families.

The RN will administer medications, monitor patient progress, and ensure safety and policy compliance. Ideal candidates hold an Associate's in Nursing with BLS certification; a BSN is preferred and experience in interventional radiology is a plus.

Qualifications

  • RN license required in Florida (or eligible).
  • Associate degree in nursing; BSN preferred.
  • 1+ year of nursing experience preferred, especially interventional radiology.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care and manage patient flow.
  • Develop and revise care plans with interdisciplinary team.
  • Administer medications and perform standard nursing procedures.
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Job Description

Other duties as assigned. Utilizes time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs. Uses standards of care, hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice. Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data. Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards. Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection. Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching. Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient’s preferences, values, and needs. Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity. Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.

Education
  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience
  • 1+ experience preferred nursing skills and knowledge base specific to interventional radiology [Preferred]
