Job summary

Advocate Health’s Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center seeks an experienced Internal Float Registered Nurse. The role supports Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding across units, including possible ICU assignments.

You will provide safe, patient-centered care in a high-acuity setting and collaborate with diverse teams. Requires RN licensure, accredited nursing program completion, and BLS. At least 18 months of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience is expected; 2 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• Minimum 18 months of Med Surg or Telemetry RN experience; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units; may float to ICU with transfer orders.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care in fast-paced environments.
• Adapt to each unit’s workflow and support teams with professionalism and clinical excellence.
• Demonstrate strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Support efforts to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
