Job summary

MedCadre is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) on site in Oregon. The RN will monitor patients requiring closer supervision and more complex care than a general medical-surgical unit.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, monitoring of vitals and rhythms, medication administration, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license.
• ADN or BSN required/preferred depending on facility requirements.
• Experience in acute care, IMCU, telemetry, or critical care preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to IMCU patients based on care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen levels, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
• Assess patients and promptly report changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and nursing records.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
