Job summary

MedCadre is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). You will provide direct nursing care to IMCU patients, monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with ADN/BSN as required by the facility, plus BLS certification and acute care or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license.
• ADN or BSN preferred/required depending on facility requirements.
• Previous acute care, IMCU, telemetry or critical care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to IMCU patients based on individualized care plans and clinical needs.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen levels, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
• Assess patients and promptly report changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and nursing records.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
