Be part of our latest expansion at Baylor University Medical Center and play a pivotal role in shaping patient care standards and the clinical culture of this new unit.

This unit will be an Intermediate Care Unit that cares for patients with increased levels of acuity. You will have the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population that meets Intermediate Care criteria.

You will collaborate with dedicated intensivists, Advanced Practice Providers, and a multidisciplinary team that promotes shared learning and career growth.

Estimated Timeline:

  1. Start Dates from June to late Summer
  2. Opening this unit in Fall 2025

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee patient care, including assessment, care planning, and response evaluation, following the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegating tasks appropriately.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct detailed assessments, create and evaluate care plans, and adjust as needed
  • Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism
  • Educate patients, families, and community members, assessing learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community, delegate tasks, and follow up
  • Apply problem-solving strategies, recognize limitations, and prioritize safety
  • Contribute to team goals, recognize contributions, and support peer development

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
