Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift. You will provide patient-centered care across diverse settings, in collaboration with the care team, while upholding safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include care planning, medication administration, documentation in the EHR, patient education, and participation in quality and infection control initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• BSN preferred (within 5 years of hire).
• Current, valid RN license in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders.
• Document all aspects of patient care in the EHR.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and plans.
• Monitor and adjust care based on patient response.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Advocate for patient needs and rights; ensure culturally competent care.
• Maintain policy and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection control initiatives.
• Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions.
