Job summary

Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana, is hiring a Registered Nurse for night shift, full-time status within a 32-bed community hospital. The RN will deliver safe patient care using nursing processes, coordinate patient care in the ICU, and communicate changes in clinical condition to the physician.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of 15,000 with terms discussed during interviews. This position requires state RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and preferred CC RN certification, with

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• CCRN Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provides direct patient care within the ICU scope and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
