Job summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic Registered Nurses to work in the medical department at the Indiana County Jail in Indiana, PA.

Evening, night, or a mixture of shifts are available for full-time positions, with a two-week orientation and on-the-job training. The RN will provide nursing care per established standards, offer health counseling to inmates, take vital signs, document findings, and ensure security and record-keeping compliance within the medical unit and related health

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Pennsylvania RN.
• Strong clinical decision-making.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to build patient trust.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing practice complies with established standards.
• Assess and provide comprehensive treatment care while observing security requirements.
• Monitor treatment services to avoid inappropriate use and/or duplication of services.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly health care staff meetings as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps.
