Job summary

Special Touch Home Care is seeking a Training Instructor to deliver approved training for Home Health Aide and Personal Care Aide curricula at our Staten Island training school. The role includes conducting in-services when classes aren’t in session and administering competency evaluations for HHA/PCA staff.

Responsibilities include supervising students, grading tests, documenting progress, and preparing course outlines aligned with program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• NYS Licensed RN in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a RN providing direct patient care at either a CHHA, LHCSA, or Hospice Program.
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual (Preferred, Not Required)

Description

The Training Instructor will have the primary responsibility of teaching the approved training curriculum (Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide) at our training school in Staten Island. When class is not in session this individual will conduct educational in‑services for our Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aide as well as administer HHA/PCA competency evaluations.

Training will be done in accordance with all regulations and company policies.
