Job summary

Alton Memorial Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a registered nurse to join the Surgical Care Unit on a stable night-shift schedule. The role welcomes new graduates and experienced nurses, with three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in Illinois.
• Education includes Nursing Diploma/Associate's; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe patient handling.
