Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient/ED care in a 24/7 hospital setting in Illinois. The role involves coordinating care across the care team, assessing symptoms, and supporting patients and families with compassion.

Requires current RN licensure in Illinois or Michigan and BLS; BSN is preferred. Night and weekend differentials apply, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for a 1-year commitment. This is an hourly, hospital-based position.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• License: Current RN licensure by the State Board (Illinois or Michigan).
• Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association BLS required before start.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Night Differential: $4.00/hr

Weekend Differential: $3.25/hr

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED
• Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a rehab care setting
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
