Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana RN license or temporary permit or NLC/eNLC multi-state license.
• RN role requires direct patient care, medication administration, and coordination with medical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and develop a nursing plan of care for assigned patients.
• Assist physicians with examinations and document patient data per policy; dispense medications per orders.
• Assist in creating and maintaining therapeutic environment and improving patient care.
• Review medications and supplies, check expiration dates, and ensure infection control standards.
• Count/document controlled drugs with shift changes; maintain safety and incident reporting.
• Ensure infection control through cleaning and disinfection of rooms and equipment.
• Respond to hospital codes and provide appropriate nursing support during emergencies.
• Lead or participate in staff-led patient care groups and conduct unit rounds every 2 hours for observation.
• Maintain communication with pharmacy and central supply; report incidents and patient safety concerns.
