Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg 7E to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. You will coordinate care with other departments, protect patient rights, and uphold Mercy Service Standards, while maintaining accountability for outcomes.

Full-time 36 hours/week, day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Eligible for sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 (experienced) or $5,000 (new grads) and comprehensive Mercy benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Hospital experience preferred depending on unit.

Schedule

Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00AM-7:00PM

Sign-On Bonus

Experienced Nurses: Up to $10,000

New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications: Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: BSN preferred

Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred

Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
