Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. in Northampton, MA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Behavioral Health unit.

You will deliver care through the nursing process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and maintain a safe milieu for patients on a night shift (11:00pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, MA RN license, BLS certification, and de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Psychiatric and geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN License in Massachusetts required; BLS cert required; De-escalation training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through nursing process; assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for effective care.
• Maintain a safe milieu to meet patients’ needs.
• Provide nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Work under supervision of Medical Director; report to Nurse Manager/Director.

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Inpatient Behavioral Health is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective patient outcomes. This part-time position is ideal for those with a passion for behavioral health nursing and a commitment to patient safety.

What You'll Do

• Deliver patient care through assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Maintain a safe milieu to meet patients’ needs.
• Provide nursing care as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Practice under the supervision of the Medical Director.
• Report to the Nurse Manager/Director and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
