Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited nursing program. Minimum ADN preparation.
  • State of New Mexico RN license or compact state license required.
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable to roles.
  • Ongoing education aligned with nursing research and practice standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee patient care as a clinical resource, directing assignments by acuity and staff capability.
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult specialists, adjust care plans for optimal results.
  • Coordinate care with patients, families, interdisciplinary teams, and physicians.
  • Educate patients and families on rights, informed consent, and directives at admission.
  • Maintain proficiency with home health equipment and EPIC charting systems.
  • Participate in on-call triage, phone support, and patient visits as needed.
  • Lead education for common diagnoses and supervise home health aides per regulations.
