Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a registered nurse for a Pediatric and Adult Infusion role in Oakland, CA. The position covers chemotherapy, blood products and immunotherapy administration in a center serving diverse diagnoses including GI, rheumatologic, oncologic and transplant cases.

RN will access ports, monitor for adverse effects, provide family education, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Floating to different departments may be required; Epic charting is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of infusion experience (pediatric and/or adult).
• Experience with port access and chemotherapy administration.
• California RN license is required.
• BSN and certifications (APHON, AHA BLS) required; CPHON/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Infuse pediatric and adult patients in an infusion center.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products and immunotherapy.
• Monitor for side effects and manage cytotoxic substances.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Be comfortable with Epic EMR documentation and float to other facilities as needed.

Description:This position is for a Pediatric and Adult Infusion Center.The center treats a wide range of diagnoses, including but not limited to, gastrointestinal, rheumatologic, oncologic, hematologic, and bone marrow transplant cases.The RN will require skills in accessing and managing ports and administering chemotherapy, blood products, and immunotherapy.The role includes handling cytotoxic substances, monitoring for side effects, and providing patient and family education.Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team is essential for providing comprehensive patient care.Daily patient ratios are expected to be around 4.Candidates should be comfortable with electronic medical record charting using Epic and possess strong phlebotomy skills.Floating to different departments or units may be required depending on staffing needs.Emphasis will be placed on the ability to work with diverse patient age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults.
